Hello, I am Selah, a 22-year-old artist and painter originally from the Chicago area, now living in the coastal city of Jacksonville, Florida. My art is deeply influenced by the natural beauty surrounding me—the vast, shifting skies and the dynamic, ever-changing sea.

 

When I moved to Jacksonville, the ocean became a new source of inspiration. The deep blues of the sea, the patterns of the waves, and the sense of infinity they evoke opened a new dimension in my art. I found that the constant ebb and flow of the water mirrored the emotions I was trying to capture on canvas—sometimes calm, sometimes stormy, but always in motion.

With my art I hope to create a sense of peace and relaxation people cannot immediately get on a day to day basis.  Essentially a visual and mental vacation to the mind. My work bridges the realms of realistic depictions and abstract expression. Whether it's painting a sunset over the ocean, capturing the surreal blend of colors in the sky, or diving into more abstract compositions, I strive to create art that speaks to the soul. Every painting is a reflection of my emotions, my experiences, and my faith.

 

Each piece evolves as I paint, taking on a life of its own—shaped by my hand, yet guided by the rhythm of nature.

As I continue to grow and explore new techniques, I hope my paintings can offer you the same sense of wonder and connection that nature has always given me. My goal is not only to capture the beauty of the sky and sea but to evoke a feeling of peace, awe, and freedom through my work.
